And the award for best small business goes to: drum roll please!
Well, it could be me, but I be playing.
I haven’t won any business awards. I’d like to. But that would mean I’d have to hop on the good foot and rally the troops into the entrepreneurship arena. And like any round of Hunger Games, if you haven’t trained, you’ll get clobbered. Some people make this business thing look so easy.
But it’s not!
Everything looks simple when you focus on the headlines (i.e. social media). We never truly know what goes on behind the curtain.
Knowing is the biggest battle. When you know what the grind entails—ya just don’t wanna. Instead, you watch re-runs of Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder and throw Lemonheads at the TV during the OMG moments. And what you…well, not really, you…but me—what I need to do is open my lap top and redesign the draft of my empire mindset strategy. Am I though? Nope.
It’s gonna be hard. I’ve been at this for 5 years and the struggle is real. But, you know what? I am getting my best jazz hands ready because fact is I’ve got work to do. If I want to inspire others I must be an inspiration to myself.
The business of having a business has peaks and valleys. So with new found inspiration to achieve more than just the ordinary, I’ll DVR my favorite programs, dance it out in the living room and get to work. #womeninbiz
What has been a valley in your business this quarter?
