Tammira Lucas is F.A.B.

FAB entrepreneurs are fabulous, ambitious and brilliant women. These ladies understand dreams do not have deadlines. It’s a process NOT a project. She is living proof that being fabulous is way more fun than begin perfect. She lives her life in HD brilliance and has discovered: she’s already equipped with everything necessary for continued success.

DOT-Nistas, meet the FABulous Tammira Lucas! She started the company, RyAnn’s Closet named after her daughter. It is a children’s boutique on a mission to provide an exciting selection of custom high-quality, fashionable, sassy & chic young children’s accessories and clothing at exceptional value and affordable cost.

DOT: Share with the DOT-Nistas a little about what makes you different from other entrepreneurs?

Tammira: I consider myself a mompreneur. As a mompreneur I am able to balance being a mom, wife and an entrepreneur. I feel many times women entrepreneurs don’t understand how to merge the two. Either they lack as a parent or they are not fully committed to their businesses. I have mastered ways to effectively have those important labels while still acting on my dreams. Some women don’t even take the opportunity to act or their dreams because they don’t feel they can do it because they have children.

DOT: How do you avoid comparing yourself to other entrepreneurs who are in a similar industry?

Tammira: My visions will always set me aside from other entrepreneurs in the same industry. When you are an entrepreneur you are required to set goals and you may have some goals that are similar but your visions will never be the same. I can honestly say that as a visionary some ideas I try to articulate to others may not seem doable, but once I put them in play they get it and see my vision.

DOT: Describe the moment when you thought to yourself, “I’ve made it. I am really doing this!”

Tammira: October 2013 when I finally launched the tammiralucas.com website was that moment. It was the best feeling ever. I immediately got emails on my products and services as well as my friends and family telling me how proud they were [and are] of me.

DOT: How do you rejuvenate and inspire yourself after a tough week?

Tammira: As a mom, wife and entrepreneur my weeks are really long and some are tougher than others. After a long week I grab a good book and sit in my room for about 2-3 hours and read. Most the time the books are inspirational books. Because I am a mom and wife, I always include my family in anything I do and they really help me recharge. So I always ensure after a tough week that we spend time with each other talking and having fun. Sometimes those conversations or activities inspire my next great idea.

DOT: Discuss a low point in your career and how you overcame that season.

Tammira: Wow. My story describes so many obstacles I overcame in my career and is definitely what makes me unique in this industry. I would have to say the instant death of my brother was really a low point in my career. It is one of the biggest obstacles I had to overcome. In 2012 I was high off life, I recently graduated with my Masters and my Children’s Accessory business was taking off. July 15th I received a call that my brother was hit on his motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene. How could things be going so right and this tragedy happened? My brother and I were best friends. He was older than me but we shared so many great memories together. Coping with his death was hard and I got to the point where I was ready to give up on everything but I prayed… With the help of God and my awesome support system, I was able to rise back to the top again.

DOT: What are some character traits or virtues you’ve acquired since pursuing your dreams and goals?

Tammira: Being Fearless, Faithful and Focused. I acquired these three character traits as I pursued my dreams. I continue to use them as I work on achieving my long-term goals. I’ve learned to be fearless and step out on faith to follow my path and purpose God created for me. I have become super focused on my dreams and goals ensuring I make them Reality.

DOT: What does being fabulous, ambitious and brilliant mean to you?

Tammira: Being Fabulous, Ambitious and Brilliant means you gracefully take control of your future by setting and achieving goals and smart enough to look at obstacles as learning opportunities rather than setbacks!

DOT: What/who do you credit with your success thus far?

Tammira: I have to credit my success to my Husband, daughter and overall support system. Without them believing in me as much as I believe in myself I probably would not be where I am today. As much as I encourage myself, each and every person in my support system has encouraged me. They have always been there to help me along the way and I am very appreciative for them.

DOT: What is on the horizon for your life & style + business over the next 3 months? The next 6 months?

Tammira: Wow I have so much going on in 2014. In the next three months I will be re-launching my online Children’s Accessory Business, Ryann’s Closet at www.ryannscloset.com and placing those items in children’s boutiques in a few states.

I will be launching my Mommy Boutique group coaching where moms from all over can connect together on monthly calls and receive advice and effective techniques on balance, business and babies.

Over the next 6 months I will be releasing my series of ladies night out events “The Beauty and the Boss” empowering women to learn the beauty of following their dreams and living FEARLESS.

I will also be releasing my book as well titled “The Beauty and the Boss.” This book will break down my life including all the obstacles I went through and the techniques I used to get through them in order to achieve my goals. I am part of two book collaborations as well and other projects so you all will be seeing a lot of Tammira Lucas in 2014.
